Registry
Ok mothers, and fathers, would you PLEASE check out our baby registry http://www.walmart.com/babyregistry and tell me if I am missing anything or if I picked a really bad brand or something like that. Especially check out the car seat, stroller, and pack n play. I did a little research on what was the best but I really did not know what to pick. The car seat I was going mostly for safest and lightest. The car seat and the stroller were the things I was picky on, everything else I just went for the better price. So tell me if I need to change anything, or if you would suggest otherwise please. Thank you so much!

Looks good! So exciting! Since the carseat and stroller are different brands, do you think the carseat would be able to attach to the stroller. Mine couldn't and I always thought that would have been nice. Sometimes you can just get a frame stroller to attach the carseat on like Heather has. It is just nice to have when the baby falls asleep in the carseat and you don't want to have to wake the baby to put it in the stroller. Make sense?
ReplyDeleteYa that makes a lot of sense. Would you just change the stroller to the same brand as the car seat? I think I saw a stroller that goes with the car seat when I was picking out the car seat. My only worry is how long you can use the stroller if it only goes with the car seat. Is the car seat the only seat that the stroller comes with, or is there another way to attach a bigger seat so you can use it when the baby is older. Does that make sense? But I definitely like the idea of being able to just take the car seat off and not wake up the baby!
ReplyDeleteThe car seat you picked out may be able to attach to the stroller you picked out, even if they are not the same brand. I just thought you may want to check. I like the brand of stroller you picked out, it is the same as ours. But I think they make them better now so that a car seat can attach. Lin, does your car seat attach to your stroller without being the same brand?
ReplyDeleteWhat you need to ask yourself is....what will you be using your stroller for? If you will mainly be jogging, going on walks, off-roading (cabin) etc. Then I would suggest a jogging stroller. If you will be driving somewhere and then getting out the stroller, the one that attaches is nice, b/c baby often falls asleep on the drive. If you are just going on walks from your house, usually baby is awake when you start, so you won't need the car seat. If you are planning to jog with the stroller, I would test it out in the store, to make sure you can jog with it.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your other question. Once your baby grows out of their car seat, then you can still use the stroller as a sit in stroller. The next car seat you use for babies over 25-30 lbs. is a car seat that you keep in your car. You will not want to transfer it around. The baby is to big for that anywY. Make sense?
ReplyDeleteAlso, the parents choice wipes you got were fragrance free. I'm not sure if those are easily torn apart. I get the fresh scent kind. They tare easily. Just don't want you getting a huge box of wipes that you don't like.
ReplyDeleteI want the stroller mainly for running/walking/cabin, but I think I still want to get the one that attaches with the car seat, because I do really like the idea of not having to wake the baby, and if the baby does fall asleep in the car and we have to go into the store it would be nice to not have to wake the baby for that either. Lin, I know you run a lot with your stroller. How do you like running with it? Yours is one that attaches/detaches with the car seat right? Corn, if the two I picked do not attach, would you suggest sticking with the car seat brand I picked and changing the stroller brand or would you change the car seat brand and stay with the stroller brand? Heath, I changed the wipes to the fresh scent. Thanks for the heads up! That would have been bad to get 800 sheets of wipes I didn't like!
ReplyDeleteOk, pretty sure I got it all worked out. Thank you all so much for your help!
