Sleepy Boy

I put this little boy down for bed at 11:30 last night and I did not hear him until 7:00 this morning! I went in and this precious little face is what I found. I think he knew mom and dad have been sick and they needed their sleep. I guess there is one good thing about my need for sleep...I can pass the need onto my children.

Birthday Boy!!

Yeah we survived the first year! Has it really only been 1 year, it sure seems like he has been around a lot longer than that! Lincoln has changed a lot over these last few months. Now that he is more independent and mobile his whole attitude about life is much different. He was definitely my hardest baby but has turned into such a joy! He loves climbing more than any of our other boys. Give him a set of stairs and he's entertained for hours. :)   He now sleeps through the night (for the love...THANK YOU!) and he seems to be tolerating cows milk. The 3 things that will evoke high pitched squeals of delight are bathtime, doggies, and slides. We sure adore our little Linkster and feel blessed to have him part of our family! Happy 1st Birthday little man!

 

I am a horrible mom and forgot to take any pictures of him on his birthday, (we only did video) but, these were taken sometime last week. To celebrate his day we had a waffle bar with all kinds of toppings (mini chocolate chips, fruit, cream, syrup, PB, and even homemade candied pecans).  We decorated his waffle with all kinds of goodies and let him dig in.  Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, he didn't care for any of the sugary stuff. He kept trying to scrap it off so he could just get to the waffle. We have it on video it's pretty funny. His brothers not only helped pick out his gifts but they also wrapped them up themselves and surprisingly :)  have played more with them than Lincoln has.  Great times!!

Friday fun!

We had a good day on Friday. I had a doc appointment and all is well with baby. We had lunch with Blake at the Brigham Young Cemetery after my appt. Then that evening we went to a neighborhood block part for Fight Against Crime. Porter got to go inside an ambulance and fire truck. He was in heaven! It was so fun to watch him feel so cool.

The New Sawyer Look

We figured it was time to cut off Sawyer's long golden locks!  He looks like a different child, don't you think? So sad to see all his blonde gone.  

It is nice to be able to see his bright hazel eyes without hair in them. :)

Peter, you would be so proud of Tyler. The closed door sensor broke on our dryer, so Tyler rewired it to a light switch. Also, the remote control car needs six batteries. Our battery charger could only hold two batteries at a time. It was a nuisance having to switch them all out till all the batteries got charged. So Tyler created a way to charge them all at once. He never ceases to amaze me.

Spencer's First Day of Preschool

Spencer had a good time with kids his own age doing fun activities. I volunteered today, so I got to see what they do. It is a neat program.

We call him bubs...just seems fitting

We are definitely first time parents. We went a little over board the first time we took him outside, we didn't want him to get cold. Long story short...he was plenty warm.

He does wake up sometimes and when he does he is WIDE awake. 

This is what I was telling you about Hoots, he will hold his head up like this for minutes at a time. Such a strong boy.

Sometimes he scares himself with how strong he is.
